Dallas ATD Learning & Development Special Interest Group

Hosted by: Vicki Lauter, Cathy Howard and Julie Mitchell

Friday, February 2, 2018  12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Facilitator: Gregory Tall

Don’t be the facilitator who begins your presentation by asking everyone in the audience to ignore their cell phones for the next hour. As if we could all do that! This experiential workshop with lots of live demos will give you fresh ideas on how you can get your audience to use their mobile devices (smartphones & tablets) to actively participate in your future presentations. So, come to this workshop with your favorite mobile device fully charged!

At the end of the session, you will be able to:

  • Know how to use mobile technology to support learning outcomes
  • Understand what you need to know and consider when asking your audience to use mobile tech during your presentation
  • Have knowledge of specific mobile tech and apps you can start using in your next presentation

About the facilitator:

Gregory Tall is a high-energy speaker, blogger, coach and storyteller who designs interactive workshop experiences and digital learning products that help professionals and entrepreneurs become better communicators.

Before launching his own business, Gregory spent 14 years helping high-growth organizations innovate in the areas of talent acquisition, employer branding, employee onboarding, and learning & development on the way to being recognized as top workplaces. Gregory lead the training & communication campaign for a past employer’s migration of 1200 users from legacy systems to a cloud-based platform and would later introduce e-learning and microlearning throughout the organization.

Gregory is intrigued by the intersection of technology and learning and is an early adopter when it comes to using multimedia and mobile technology in his workshops to enhance the participant experience.

Why do you want to attend the January Lunch & Learn SIG meeting?

Because…  You will learn principles that work from the best-selling book, Five Dysfunctions of a Team.

Because… A cohesive team will:

  • ·         Make better, faster decisions as people are aligned and on-board
  • ·         Leverage the skills, talents and opinions of all team members
  • ·         Ensure conflict becomes productive and healthy versus draining and damaging
  • ·         Focus on the results versus self-interest and politics
  • ·         Create a competitive advantage and sets your organization apart
  • ·         Eventually become “A Best Place to Work”

Join us for this interactive, engaging SIG where we will explore the behaviors that create a high performing team, give you practices to bring to your own organization and insight as to why this concept has been embraced and widely accepted around the world.
