As organizations flatten and managers are asked to lead larger teams while carrying more individual contributor work, leadership effectiveness is quietly eroding — not because leaders lack skills, but because they lack capacity. Grounded in recent Gallup research and current organizational trends, this session examines how increased span of control, reduced upward mobility, and sustained pressure on mid-level leaders are accelerating burnout, disengagement, and the loss of high-performing talent. Traditional leadership development programs continue to emphasize competencies and skills, yet many leaders are too physically, emotionally, and mentally depleted to apply what they already know.
Sara Bell introduces the Thrive Leadership Method, a capacity-first approach that develops leaders from the inside out across four dimensions: physical, mental, emotional, and purpose-driven capacity. Participants will also learn how this work is delivered through a cohort-based leadership model that blends group learning with individualized 1:1 support. The model integrates teaching, real-time practice, coaching, mentoring, and advising — ensuring insights turn into sustained behavior, belief, and identity shifts. This session offers a modern, evidence-aligned framework for building leadership capability that improves engagement, strengthens succession readiness, reduces burnout, and drives measurable business results.
