Using Adobe Captivate to Create Vignettes(In-person and Online session)

Do you ever need to show a quick task to your software users?
Do your clients repeatedly get confused on one particular step in your software?
Is your help desk flooded with calls about a certain process?
Does your SME need a little product update information shown to clients - tomorrow?
Simple vignettes can quickly address those issues!
These training “videos” are short, concise, precise, and illustrate a task or process in under 3 minutes. They are generally designed for current users who have previously been trained in the application, but who can find themselves needing a brief refresher on a targeted subject. They are NOT eLearning courses! They ARE snippets or nuggets with the essence of complete information on one topic. And they do lend themselves well to rapid creation, application and implementation by the learner.
This session will demonstrate several examples of these types of vignettes and we will even create one or two in class! If you have any that you have done – please bring them to share!
About the presenter:
Leslie Lingle is the Lead Instructional Designer for RCM products at MedAssets. Leslie has worked in the corporate training industry for over 15 years. Her current job responsibilities include leading a design team that is responsible for creating product training for both internal and external clients. Tools used include: Adobe Framemaker, Captivate, Camtasia, Brainshark, Microsoft Office products (including MS Videomaker), and GoAnimate!

All members of Dallas ATD are welcome to attend any SIG any time. All non-members please feel free to join us for up to 2 sessions at a SIG. After 2 sessions, to provide ongoing chapter support to the SIG, you will be expected to join Dallas ASTD by paying the annual dues of $115.
