Keep Them Out of the Classroom!
Optimizing Performance Support to Minimize Classroom Training

With the recent changes in healthcare, it was more critical than ever for Children’s Medical Center to demonstrate resource stewardship by streamlining their education processes.  By studying best practices offered by leaders in the performance support industry, Children’s Medical Center was able to shift many enterprise learning initiatives to rely on performance support for the bulk of employee learning for certain initiatives.

For Children’s, this was much more than placing the classroom workbook on a corporate intranet or SharePoint site.  Instead, a thoughtful approach was used to mirror vender solutions in a way that maximized trust of the resources, minimized time required to access the materials, and aided “speed learning” when utilizing the information.

Key Topics:

  • Determining when performance support is needed
  • Best practices of leading performance support solutions
  • Replicating vender solutions on a shoestring budget
  • Establishing end-learner buy in for performance support
  • Collaborating with service and support to maximize performance support adoption
  • Retrospective - Lessons learned
  • Now What?  - - Your next steps, templates and tools
