ATD Dallas Volunteer Professional Development Scholarship

What is it?

The ATD Dallas Volunteer Professional Development Scholarship Program reflects the chapter’s commitment to putting people first. This scholarship recognizes the volunteers who fuel the ATD Dallas mission and supports their continued growth through meaningful professional development aligned to the ATD Capability Model.

Who can apply?

To be considered, applicants must:

• Be a current and active ATD Dallas member
• Have volunteered a minimum of 10 hours within the past year. (Volunteer hours include volunteering at chapter meetings, SWLS, and other ATD events)
• Select professional development that supports the ATD Capability Model (Developing Professional Capability, Building Organizational Capability, Impacting Organizational Capability).
• Agree to pay in advance, attend the development activity, and submit required attendance documentation and receipt for reimbursement to the ATD Dallas Board.

When do I apply?

Applications are accepted during the following timeframes:

• Summer: June 1 – August 31
• Fall/Winter: September 1 – December 31

Applications are reviewed monthly by the ATD Dallas Board until funds for the semester are fully allocated.

Eligibility?

Once per calendar year per member.  The scholarship fund will operate as a reimbursement for professional development activities - participants will pay upfront and are reimbursed after completion).  Current ATD Dallas Board members are NOT eligible.

Funds are offered each timeframe and awarded on a first come, first considered basis.

• Maximum reimbursement per award: $300
• Maximum awards: One per member per calendar year

   

If funds are exhausted, applicants will be notified.  Members may reapply during the next timeframe.
