Dallas ASTD Lunch & Learn SIG
Hosted by Mary Anne (Wihbey) Davis
Debriefing Games, Case Studies and Activities for Optimal Outcomes
You probably learn best by doing and you know your workshop participants do as well. Yet do you sometimes wonder if participants really got the value you intended from your experiential exercises? Does it sometimes feel like there is a gap between the activity and application in the real world? The power of games, case studies and activities as learning tools lies in the debrief.
Julie Chance of Strategies-By-Design will facilitate an interactive discussion on connecting the dots between experiential exercises and real world application.
- Analyze what participants experienced during the activity
- Generalize these experiences to the real world
- Apply the learning to their personal and/or professional lives
Bring your own ideas, challenges and favorite debriefing techniques/questions and join in the discussion!
