The Great Recalibration: Leading Culture in “Permanent Beta”

Speaker: Brian Moore

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

In 2026, the traditional change management model where we move from Point A to Point B, has officially reached its expiration date. As AI and rapid technological disruption "Blockbuster" traditional job descriptions, Talent Development (TD) professionals must shift from building static training bridges to fostering organizational "Pivot Speed."

Using the narrative of the Blockbuster vs. Netflix paradox, this session explores the concept of Permanent Beta: a leadership mindset where organizational structures, tech stacks, and individual skills are in a state of continuous evolution. Participants will move beyond "completion metrics" to explore the Human Stack: the empathy, ethics, and critical judgment that remain the ultimate premium in an automated world.

Objectives:

  • Compare Optimization and Recalibration Cultures and evaluate their organization's readiness for continuous adaptation.
  • Explain the Permanent Beta mindset and its implications for the future of Learning and Development.
  • Design at least one strategy for incorporating AI-enabled Learning Ingredients into the flow of work to create more agile and responsive learning experiences.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
