In this session, Mike Stein shares data from a multi‑tool build‑off where a 6‑hour Storyline course was recreated in under 90 minutes with modern cloud‑based authoring tools, using the same storyboard and assets. You’ll see how the research quantifies the “monopoly tax” in extra clicks, keystrokes, scrolls, and frustration, and how to choose tools based on workflow, accessibility, maintenance needs, and long‑term ROI instead of habit or “industry standards.”
