ATD Dallas Learning & Development SIG
Hosted by Melissa Greer

June 6, 2025 - 12:00pm-1:30pm CST
Facilitator: Cherron Castillo
Note: This webinar involves a two-step registration process. First by registering on this website and the second on Zoom. See additional details below.
In today’s cross-functional and fast-changing workplace, Learning & Development (L&D) professionals must rely more on influence than authority to drive impact. This session equips L&D practitioners with practical strategies to shape perceptions, guide decisions, and inspire action—positioning learning as a strategic enabler. Drawing from real-world examples, industry research, and principles from John Maxwell’s Becoming a Person of Influence, this session offers actionable tools to earn buy-in, communicate with power, and move learning initiatives forward with confidence. Whether you’re new to L&D or a seasoned practitioner, you’ll walk away with influence strategies you can apply immediately.
WHY ATTEND?
By the end of this session, you’ll be able to:
- Define influence in the L&D context
- Apply at least three influence strategies to move learning initiatives forward.
- Leverage credibility and strategic communication to earn buy-in and action from cross-functional partners by aligning learning to business priorities.
