ATD Dallas Technology SIG
Create Practical Visual Job Aids
Wednesday, March 14, 2018
12:00 - 1:00 PM
Facilitator: Rance Greene
Job aids often serve as an auxiliary to the training experience, instead of as an integral part of it. They can be viewed by stakeholders as another place to put a lot of content that didn’t make it into the course. Often, they are poorly formatted and difficult for the learner to slog through. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Join Rance Greene for a lively discussion and demonstration of how to create job aids that can be used as anchors for learners during and after training.
- Utilize a simple process for assessing when a job aid is needed
- Integrate job aids into the training itself
- Create visual job aids using a learning technology that you already own—PowerPoint
Rance will be sharing many examples of job aids from HCSC’s compliance training and walking through the creation of a practical, visual job aid. Participants will receive a template that they can use for their own projects.
This session will also be offered via webinar for virtual participants. Follow the link below to register:
