As the business climate becomes increasingly more competitive and our workforce continues to evolve, managers are responsible for ensuring that their teams become more agile, more cohesive, and more engaged. If you manage or participate in a team or simply provide learning solutions for one, you can increase its performance by applying the basic improv philosophies. Come learn how “yes, and” and other essential elements of the art can help teams improve their production, creativity, collaboration and cohesiveness.
At the end of this session, you should be able to:
• Inspire team members to share ideas
• Enhance your team’s ability to be innovative
• Communicate more effectively as a team
• Adapt to change more readily
• Create more opportunities for team collaboration
About the facilitator:
Amanda Austin is the Owner/CEO of Dallas Comedy House, serves on the Board of the Deep Ellum Community Association, and has been chosen as one of the Dallas Chamber’s Leadership Class of 2018. Additionally, she has been recognized as Best Theater Director by the Dallas Observer in 2017 and was named one of Dallas’ 20 Most Interesting People by the publication. Amanda is a dynamic performer and speaker, who had addressed audiences and facilitated corporate workshops for McDonald’s, Southwest Airlines, Deloitte, Hilton, Atmos Energy, and Frito Lay.

You are welcome to arrive as early as 11:15 to network and get settled prior to the start of the meeting. There is ample free parking in the garage.
All members of ATD Dallas are welcome to attend any SIG any time at no charge. Non-members are welcome to join us for up to 2 complimentary sessions.
