Measuring outcomes only (quota attainment) provides an inaccurate and easily manipulated view of sales effectiveness. Sales Enablement allows us to expand our measurements beyond the financial metrics. Justifying the value of Sales Enablement should be much more about proving progress than striving for mythical perfection. In fact, Toastmasters has developed a certification process for another highly subjective domain, public speaking, which we can use as a template for sales effectiveness.
