Trends & Transition Tips for Training Pros

Monday, October 24, 2016 6:30-8:00pm
Facilitator: Pam Porter

The L&D profession is a wonderful profession to belong to. As a career it offers constant variety, the satisfaction of seeing the results of your work, recognition in many different forms – and endless opportunities for learning. Of course, the profession is not without its challenges, frustrations and occasional upsets, but overall most consultants love their work!

Our workshop will outline key components of becoming a successful consultant. It will include suggestions of how to set up your consultant business and what to expect when you first enter the consultant arena. We will also explore ideas and insider information if you are currently a consultant.  Please join us for an interactive and fun meeting!

Pam K. Porter serves as Director of Training for TrainingPros, Inc. She works extensively with local learning consultants and training specialists to design, develop and deliver custom training solutions for Fortune 500 clients in the southwest market. Pam’s extensive background in the technical, consulting, and wireless carrier industries have honed the skills that make her a seasoned L&D professional. She is also very adept at research and development as well as new market launches. Pam’s areas of greatest expertise are in learning strategy, leadership development, Lean Six Sigma training, executive coaching, training delivery, facilitation, video production, executive retreats, and team workshops.

Prior to joining the TrainingPros relationship manager organization, Pam worked for AT&T Wireless, Sprint PCS, Professional Development Training USA, and Artlux International. She is an active member of the Association for Talent Development, Women Engaged in Building Business, Empowering Women as Leaders, and Make-A-Wish Foundation. Pam balances her L&D work with passions in travel, golf, and photography.
