Show Your Work:
How to Build an Online Portfolio
Wednesday, July 13th, 2016
Facilitator: Kimberly Bourque Valliere
Whether you are searching for a job or not, it is extremely important to build a portfolio of your work. Potential employers value being able to see your work, especially if they can see it online before the interview. Building your very own online portfolio is MUCH easier than you think. With free and easy-to-use tools, your website will build itself.
BUT WAIT…that's not all! Yes - you do need a few work samples to highlight. Are you now worried that you cannot use the work you've produced for your current company? We'll discuss that problem too!
In this session, you will
- learn how to build a website.
- learn how easy building and maintaining a website can be.
- discover ideas for creating work that you can use on a website.
- discover free resources to use on a website that obey copyright rules.
- leave with lots of ideas.
General website knowledge is helpful, but I've taught people with no technological skills how to build a website.
