Talent Development Professionals Need to be Organizational & Industry Champions

At this chapter meeting, we’ll hear from not one, but two excellent presenters.

It has been said that Southwest is not just a company of planes, they are a company of people. They are NUTS about their employees! Southwest Airlines University’s, Angie Sanders, will give us an introduction to the true meaning of the Southwest culture.

Talent development professionals can’t just be great leaders in defining our industry’s culture; we must be Champions – enlightened change-makers who are personally committed to mutual values, rather than self-centered ones, and relentlessly driven by possibilities.

Mike Thompson, author of The Organizational Champion, will lead an interactive presentation engaging attendees in self-discovery and personal reflection on how to become Champions for the industry that we love--talent development.

Join us for an engaging chapter meeting where we’ll hear more about how Southwest has created a culture that engages employees in a way that has resulted over 40 years of profitability, less than 5% employee turnover, and being voted one of Fortune’s Most Admired Companies for 20 years in a row.

And then we’ll gain the tools needed to put great culture into practice by being Champions of talent development.
